Start / Finish
All events start at Coachman Park on Clearwater's downtown waterfront
Distances
Halfathon (13.1 miles)
5-Miler
5K Fitness Walk (3.1 miles)
Directions
The start / finish line is easily accessible at Clearwater's waterfront, by taking State Road 60 (Gulf to Bay) west, bearing right onto Cleveland Street, to the bay. If you get onto Clearwater Causeway to Clearwater Beach, you've gone too far!
Get driving directions below.
Course Limits
The
Clearwater Halfathon finish line will be open for 3.5 hours, and the course will open to traffic based upon that pace. For instance, participants should be at the midpoint by 8:35 a.m. Participants slower than that need to move to the sidewalks and adhere to normal pedestrian laws.
Course Profiles
The
Clearwater Halfathon's out-and-back course is mostly flat and aesthetically varied, while also challenging, due to the course passing over two significant bridges two times each. The high point for each bridge is just 74 feet above sea level, with the rest of the course totally flat.
The
Clearwater 5-Miler course uses the same route as the Clearwater Halfathon, however, after crossing Clearwater Causeway to the beach, the Clearwater 5-Miler course returns to Coachman Park. This course is mostly flat, but offers two challenging ascents over the Clearwater Bridge.
The
Clearwater 5K Fitness Walk course will depart Coachman Park and tour through downtown, with a challenging ascent over the Clearwater Bridge, a pleasant walk along the Clearwater Causeway to the turn-around, and a return trip back over the Clearwater Bridge to Coachman Park.
Course Highlights
All competitive events start 15 minutes before sunrise.
All courses tour through downtown Clearwater, over the Clearwater Bridge and the Clearwater Causeway.
